About
Established in 1969, the Moose Lake Area Historical Society has evolved to become a leader and contributor to events and activities of the community. The mission of the Moose Lake Area Historical Society is to study, research, preserve and promote the history of Moose Lake, Minnesota and its surrounding areas. We maintain and support the Fires of 1918 Museum which includes changing historical exhibits along with permanent artifacts and memorabilia. The museum is located in the Moose Lake Depot, formally the Soo Line Railroad Depot, built in 1907. We also manage the onsite Soo Line Event Center which is available for rentals such as reunions, weddings, meetings or parties.
