About

It shall be the mission of the Moose Lake Area Food Shelf to serve the community by providing food to our neighbors in need through partnering and fundraising with area churches, community organizations and individuals.

We are located in the basement of Joe Jitters, in the alley. The food shelf is open Friday mornings 8:30am - 12:00pm.

Established 1987. All Volunteer. Strive to provide one week's groceries to eligible families. We rely on the generosity of our communities for donations. Emergency Food available by appointment. Clients are Southern Carlton County and Northern Pine County and homeless. Seld reported income level at 300% poverty.

Average distribution is 50,000 pounds of food, 360 families served, and approximately 1,000 individuals.
