A Goblin's Christmas Carol
12/11/2024 - 12/15/2024
Description
Directed by Jodi Hodgson.
Produced by special arrangement with Kenneth L. Chumbley.
Early in his career, Charles Dickens wrote a short piece he called, "The Story of the Goblins Who Stole a Sexton." In 1836, he used it in The Pickwick Papers (ch. 29), and in 2836, he used it as the basis for A Christmas Carol: his goblins story and A Christmas Carol both occur on Christmas Eve, both involve the redemption of a wretched, loveless man, and both involve metaphysical intervention. It is a retelling of Dickens' short story that has all the themes that made A Christmas Carol a classic.
